The MLB clearly has established themselves as an innovative partner in live streaming for all levels of the sport. Why not run 365 and not waste the equipment or know-how.
But who is the real winner here? The NHL.
Go follow an NHL team on Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram, anywhere. Boring. Restructuring their restrictions for social media will allow for more freedom and use the talented marketing team at the MLB. I’m curious how these two partners will engage outside of the technology aspect, but how to integrate the two sports and create a partnership 365 days of the year.
